I've already been here just less than two weeks and I can tell you now, I will NOT EVER intentionally travel to this state again. I cannot understand where all the animosity comes from. Rhode Islanders have a gorgeous state to live in and you can get to everything with just a short excursion. How lucky to be able to hike, go to the beach, go out for great (fresh) seafood, or just go for a leisurely scenic drive? "Oh wait, you can't do that because if you're not traveling at the speed of light you'll get run over or called nasty names, honked (horn blaring) at. I'm doing the speed limit here!"
No wonder your speed limits are so low in this state, yall'd kill each other if it was set higher. Where's the FIRE!? Where's common courtesy toward another human being?
I said hello and smiled to a woman in passing and she literally snarled at me. WTF is your problem Rhode Island residents? I can't say every person I've confronted with a smile has been uncivil but they sure out-weigh the nicer ones. I even had the luxury of meeting a "real life bully" for the first time, and I'm well into my 50's. That was the event that finally broke the camels back as they say. Totally soured me on your beautiful state. Oh and the bully? Miserable individuals will always get their comeuppance. Sooner or later!
